Screensaver option

I think one of the best possible features would be a screensaver option. The screensaver would fly through the galaxy, occasionally picking a random star and flying to it, it would prefer closer stars, but huge jumps in distance would also be possible. If the star has planets it could choose a planet and zoom in on it and fly over the terrain for a random time interval.

I know this would be quite hard to code, but it would be worth it IMO.

This kind of idea has already been proposed ( http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/8-869-1#8329 ), I agree that this feature could be really enjoyable in the engine smile

Ah I see. I remember really enjoying the old Windows starfield screensaver, something based on Space Engine would be so much better.

smile I Agree,
sometimes I like to simulate a "dead" spacecraft, drifting randomly in space (I put the spacecraft mode on, give to the camera a smooth movement and let it go).
