Mountains/Terrain planet features

Can we get a blend of the spike mountains from 0.94 mixed in with the current roundish mountains? I'm beginning to miss things like this from 0.94

Now you only get these types from what I've seen:

Which are very cool, but maybe have each planet have different procedurally generated mountain/terrain generation parameters so some might have bumpy mountains, others more spiky and defined, or different types on different areas of the planet.

Also, I really hope ridges/caves and real impressive randomly generated features can appear, like dense intricate mountain ranges, river systems, overhangs, plateaus and features.

Right now flat ground on a planet is very plain, it's just the repeated texture, I think it would be cool for maybe textures to have random color noise/texture noise distorting them and making them look different instead of repeated. That might be a cool effect.

Also, more interesting things on life planets, more colors for vegitation. cool

What do you guys think?

Ridged mountains should be on planets. Maybe they are very rare - it is a bug. River systems are almost impossible in this procedural approach - they require at least 10,000 iterations of the erosion algorithm per pixel, or some blending with a pre-generated vector mask.

I agree that there are some .94 things that I miss. The mountains is a huge thing. I loved the spiky mountains of .94. Not that I don't love the mountains of .95 but I think there should be a blend.

PC specs: Windows 7 64 bit. Intel Core i5-2400 quad-core (3.1GHz, 6MB Cache). 6GB DDR3-1333MGz SDRAM[2 DIMMs]. 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive. 3GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 545.

Hm... Perhaps (in the rather distant future, of course) a "render rivers/full detail render" option could be added. This would only effect the selected planet, and would likely disable moving the camera. Basically, one would only use it when they already had a scene set up, just for the extra detail.

I think having both would be cool.
