steeljaw354, do you use 0.974?

The pluto system needs to be updated since we have gotten pics of it from new horizons. - done
Ceres/Vesta need to have real surface textures not procuderal ones. - done
Sunspots should be visible on all stars but brown dwarfs. - incorrect
Would like to see rouge planets - planned
Planets around black holes - done
Add y dwarf star class - work in progress right now
Add more new exoplanets - done

I think the developer should program in some "anomalies" like a cold terra or green star but make them really rare like .5% of the objects currently in space engine, would be cool too see some "anomalies" programmed to add a bit more to the sense of adventure you would get. Like Searching for these things.

steeljaw354, 1) that is totally off-topic for this thread, 2) cold terras and green stars are not realistic. SpaceEngine is about realism, why should something unrealistic be included?

To add to the sense of adventure

By violating a core principle of the program?

What do you mean?

I already explained it: the focus of SpaceEngine is to portray the universe as realistically as possible. Intentionally adding unrealistic features undermines this purpose.

well reality IS stranger than fiction
just look at CG 67p -- the "rubber ducky" comet

BUT seriously things DO need to stay in the realm of reality and within the laws of Physics

now a "cold" earth like planet - there should be many in this Galaxy
something like "Gliese 581/d "

Orbits... what about orbits? Orbits change in time and interact each others depending bodies near, at least in our solar system.
I tried Universe Sandbox2 even if isnt intended to be the same thing...but looks to deal with this, orbits looks like boucing around (hula hula) seen at enough fast timelapse.
Wouldnt this add some extra accuracy to orbital moves?

I love this Project.
Keep up the good work!

It would add extra things to elaborate for your PC, and I could never be implemented with the current stage of SE.

Anyway, there is a thread for suggestions like this: http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/8-1386-1

The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770 GPU: ASUS Radeon R9 270 RAM: 8 GBs

(still don't know why everyone is doing this...)

orbits could be improved using the JPL / NAIF spice data
http://naif.jpl.nasa.gov/naif/index.html

but this will add a LOT!!!!! of gigabits to things like spacecraft
planets and moons are rather small kernels but for example the Cassini orbiter is up to 22.5 GiB

all the planets and moons is about only 3 gig of data
