| Not a demand, just a suggestion. Would love if SE could sometime in the future simulate the lunar eclipse with the orange/copper hue of the penumbra and umbra like in real life (volumetric shadows?) or some sort of approximation/simplification. Also, during the lunar eclipse, when you were on the surface of the moon, you would see a glowing orange ring (atmosphere) around the dark disk of the Earth.

| I'd like to see that, too. Space Engineer has listed plans for improved handling of shadows in the TODO list, though this is a slightly more subtle effect due to the combined effects of Rayleigh scattering and atmospheric refraction. I'm no programmer and I have now idea how easy this would be to implement, but maybe some sort of approximation could be done.

| Some day in the future it will be added. Anything that happens in real life will end up in the program eventually.

Not entirely, there is no place for stupidity in SE (or the words swag, boss and epic, unless used to describe a style of walking, a management figure or something very large and expansive).

When I make a ship in the future game made off SE, it will be a big flying YOLO SWAG with sparkles and everything. You can rest easy knowing you made me do it.

Awesome, I can't wait to open SE, zoom in to planet Earth, zoom in to my house, and see myself watching myself watching myself watching ▓▒ⱨ∑Γᵱ Iͫʹͭͨᴭͣ ͩͥΆͭɱ͛ ͛ƧŤƱcḱ ŀŅ ḁ ͫΞͪͧͤὑἥỈⱴ€ЯЅѮ ᶂɑȼȚʘȒɏ

| I think you know I meant in terms of astronomical things though breaking the universe sounds like a good direction

| I was sure such an effect already exist on SE, anyway, yeah, i'd like it will be implemented pretty soon, but maybe there is still more important things that have a greater priority

No way! I can't wait for it

What you are seeing is is sorts of an augmented Earthshine. (city light makes the red hue (I think).).
I was wrong, this forum still has a horrible community.

| Quote (Crashman1390) (city light makes the red hue (I think).). No, city light has nothing to do with it. The red hue comes from sunlight passing through Earth's atmosphere, colored red by Rayleigh scattering. Basically every sunrise and sunset in the world is coloring the Moon during a total lunar eclipse.
