Graphics look bad

I have a Nvidia GTX 980 344.75 driver and fresh install looks horrible, tried texture addons for planets, LOD up to 2 and still looks bad. any tips?

The answer to your question is in the stickied Troubleshooting thread, which you should have posted to. Since the landscapes of Sol system planets and objects are NOT procedural, the detail will be limited when you get close. Only procedural planets will have detailed surfaces.

The answer to your question is in the comparison screenshots in the Moon texture download page, and also printed there:
