| Anyone else experiencing no night-side lights on Earth in v0.9.7.1, even with the setting turned up to ten? It used to work in a previous version (0.95 I think).
Thanks.

| Quote Phil ( ) Anyone else experiencing no night-side lights on Earth in v0.9.7.1, even with the setting turned up to ten? No, night lights are still not implemented, just wait for future releases.

| Night side lights are for spaceships. Actual night side lights are going to be implemented in a future release. Also, I have no idea what you saw in the previous versions that you thought are night side lights since Space Engine never had them.

| Maybe it was the bug where things shine through planets.
I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

| You think they will have night side lights for other planets with multicell life to represent alien civilizations

Under Planets section. Quote Lights of the night side (hot planets, lava, cities) http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/21-11-1
Also as always
Quote SpaceEngineer ( ) Anyway, I should note: as long as SE is a scientifically accurate Universe simulator, then one day it will implement ALL space objects and phenomenon that are known to modern astronomy. So you may not bother yourself with questions like "will SE one day have meteor rain implemented". I guarantee that it WILL.
Since intelligent life exists on Earth, it probably exists somewhere else and so that kind of plays into representing the universe we live in.

Maybe he was asking if it will be implemented in the next version.
The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition.

| I think that night side lights should be on planets with intelligent life myself. Intelligent life would be classified as organic with marine and terrestrial, but with an asterisk next to it. The asterisk would enable the night side lights to be shown on the night side of the planet
