A friend of mine had this wonderful program and was able to export not only texture maps from created planets but also when "landed on an object" was able to export an actual geometry of the surface. When I downloaded the program I am unable to find this feature. Was it removed in a newer version? If so why?

This is such an awesome tool it is a shame to see such a useful feature seemingly vanish. Unless I am mistaken and simply unable to locate the UI element that does this! Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

No, you can't export planet surface geometry, and it has never been possible to do so. You can export a planetary height map, but it would be relatively low resolution and not useful for local-scale details. The capability to export a local height map may be implemented eventually, but it won't happen anytime soon.
