I'm particularly interested in the scripts controlling flights, this will probably improve the camera movement in the amateur videos of SE a lot biggrin

Did I read correct blink blink : Spaceships with gravity, physics and colisions??? Oh gosh My blood pressure will rise again wacko

Space Engineer you are the Man!
Even if you don't include 3D interior walls and corridors of the Spaceship in this release it would still be a great version! Have you considered including a 2D interface for the spacecraft ala ELITE style (back in the late 80's early 90's me again ) in the meantime?? This may save a lot of time for you!

Anyway I am speachless again... Kepp it up! smile smile

Very very nice. biggrin It looks like you don't have too far to go before you start implementing the first person exploration aspect of the game.

"Procedural erosion" based on this work.

This link seems to no work anymore.

Anyway, I can't wait too ! happy For example :

A count on the number of planets with life has been added to the selected star's information table.
Collision detection of camera with all planets.
New forms of landscape on planets.
Exporting of procedural textures of planets.
Exporting of skybox (panoramic screenshot).

Yeah !
-> We can export textures of planets. We can import too ?

"Import textures" is create a catalog planet with custom textures. See Earth, Mars, Jupiter, etc.

I do hope planet textures get reworked in 0.97, right now they look like a blurry mess all around.

^Of what planets? Most solar system planets look really good with the special high resolution maps. (Though Jupiter could use a more detailed texture). And the procedural planets are even better.

I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

This seems like a really beautiful project, guys!

I noticed the reference from this site to mine and thought I'd have a look.
It's quite nice to see my result being used in outer space in a fully-integrated stack of other procedural and rendering techniques!
Well done! Was it hard to integrate?

Keep it up and good luck!
Giliam

Not those textures! The surface textures on procedural planets.

Ain't very appealing biggrin

Hello! Thanks for your work. It was a bit hard to find a suitable implementation of the PerlinDeriv function, but after implementing it your turbulence functions were quite easy.
