| Ok, all fine. You simply fly over Earth, Mars and other solar system planets. They use olny real photo textures, stored on disk, so obviously not able to have very high detail. Goto any other star, find there any planet and zoom to its surface. Additionally, you have an OUT_OF_MEMORY error in the end. Open 'config\main.cfg' and set VideoMemoryMaxPercent to 70. Read paragraph 5e here for detail.

I found that these textures are missing im my .rar file. Any way to upload them, anyone?

| These textures are missing at all. More types of galaxies have very simple model, because I have no much time to make normal models. These errors is not critical for engine.

| Yeah, but the thing is that sometimes this happens:
Does the _sys files on textures have anything to do with generation nebulas? like a map on where they should appear or something?Added (24.07.2011, 07:08) --------------------------------------------- Correction: I deleted the cache and those black boxes disapeared. Guess it´s got nothing to do with the textures

| Quote (Rodrigo) Does the _sys files on textures have anything to do with generation nebulas? like a map on where they should appear or something? Right. You can make the galaxy model yourself. Here is a short tutorial:
1) Take a good photo from Hubble. 2) Remove backgrouns stars in photoshop. 3) Selet dust component and place it in alpha channel. 4) Resize image to 1024*1024 or 2048*2048. 5) Save it as RGBA global galaxy texture (png, tga or dds format). 6) Using these texture, make the "sys texture": red channel is a map for nebulae generation, green for open clusters, blue for young blue stars (spiral arms pattern). 7) Save sys texture in RGB format file. 8) Open global texture, resize it to 128*128 and save as "front" RGB texture and "front_dust" grayscale texture for dust component. 9) Open galaxy model script and copy/paste code of MilkyWay or M51, to make new galaxy model. Change its name and paths to textures. 10) Open galaxy catalog, find your galaxy and assign model to it. 11) Launch SE, go to this galaxy and look on the sprite model. Enter edit mode and do several iterations: edit some parameters in galaxy model script, save it and press F5 in SE to reload galaxy model.
Using the same steps, you can modify default galaxy models (Sa, Sc etc). In one of the next release I rewrote galaxy generation code to introduse procedural galaxy models and to simplify real models making process. For example, remove step 8.

| Hey there, everything seems ok except for certain stars such as Red Giants that look like this:
Red Giant
Just wondering what might be going on here?
EDIT: I'd also like to add that I'm having an issue where using CTRL+ALT+Enter to go fullscreen is disabling my F2 key until I restart the game. I've attempted to start the game in fullscreen by editing the main.cfg but end up with a blank screen until I put it back into windowed mode.
