| The apparent magnitude of an object doesn't change with its phase.
Love SpaceEngine!

By this you mean that the wiki is updated in real time? Because i dont understand this.
The other features seem nice.

You don't need this unless you are modder importing a new ship model.

SpaceEngine doesn't support any networking, so no online update of anything. This phrase mean that I update some articles in the offline SE wiki database.

| I noticed that in 0974 patch 03 there is a ''spacecrafts0974.pak'' file directly inside the /models folder whereas in 0974 patch 04 (i.e latest patch) there is a ''ShipsModelsSE0974.pak'' file inside the \models\spacecrafts subfolder.
Is this OK?
I don't know what was the situation with the previous patches (01 and 02) but I remember that I've seen many duplicate entries in the ship build menu sometime in-between patches .
Added (12.06.2015, 20:25) --------------------------------------------- Quote Donatelo200 ( ![Link to the quoted text](http://en.spaceengine.org/button/lastpost.gif) ) Black holes and neutron stars are behaving very oddly. They are first generated normally but once approached they snap into and infinite radius and luminosity. Surprisingly it doesn't cause a crash and i can explore the system if i do not click on the black hole or neutron star. The black hole will sometimes still render correctly too which is odd.
Good catch Donatelo! I have similar issues. Look at the pics below:
This is Mily Way's central black hole.
As you can see it has almost infinite volume and zero density which is really odd. If you go too close to it you get instantly teleported to infinite distance (many giga light years away in nomans land)
Also most of the time the warp effect is not visible.
EDIT: After further research I found that the issue is also true for procedural black holes on procedural galaxies: I just visited a procedural random galaxy and went to its central black hole and woosh into infinity!

now we only need a wormhole effect.

| In the search menu, I can only go to stars and nebulas, not planets and asteroids. Also, I can't build ranger from the 'interstellar endurance' addon. And lastly, there is no black hole in the center of the galaxy.

| Quote SpaceEngineer ( ![Link to the quoted text](http://en.spaceengine.org/button/lastpost.gif) ) WIP - raytraced jet engine exhaust. Also, I made a camera following smoothly behind the ship when it accelerates or turns around.
Though I've already confirmed my graphics card is the latest, but my Engine stiill can't display raytraced jet engine exhaust.........no matter how I control my ship
Who am I ?

| Quote Alek ( ![Link to the quoted text](http://en.spaceengine.org/button/lastpost.gif) ) Uh, I'm having a bit of trouble with 'alien-like' lights While I was travelling to Sirius B (all white dwarfs have invalid diameters as we approach closer), I was only surprised to encounter the long-gone "third star" bug again...
edited 21:00 14 Jun NZDT
Another issue is that I still cannot understand why you made stars look like black circles/not rendered in these patches As an example, here are two main screen picture taken at the same point while FOV was altered
edited 19:00 17 Jun NZDT After loading a bookmark location, regardless the camera has been binded to the object or not, it just drifts away.. :
After all it's a very exciting process indeed to be a part in this public testing SpaceEngineer, thanks again for the awesome work

Could that way take us to the illumination of planets by nebulaes?
I want so badly the new possibilities that could be allowed by OpenGL

| Your picture looks incredible, FastFourierTransform, but is this even realistic? Or wouldn't the light just reach the surface unichrome? Of course this would depend on the distance. If a planet is located in a nebula, it would be more realistic I guess?

I agree. For each pach of terrain it would be illuminated with all the colours present in the sky coming from all directions, so this image is not realistic. But I think the landscape would have some different colour tonalities in a roughed surface, because if a bluish part of the nebula is shadowed by a mountain while a redish part arrives at the surroundings then the shadow of the mountain would have a red appereance while the rest would be some kind of red-blue mix. Different slopes would be illuminated differently and the shadows casted by the terrain would make gorgeus color maps
Even if this vista is a bit absurd. I think the specular reflection over an icy lake would be awesome

| The third star trouble isn't what I was referring to. There's really bright lights that blind me when I'm on planets. I can look around in different directions and see different ones, it looks like there's about 8 of them.
Living among the stars, I find my way. I grow in strength through knowledge of the space I occupy, until I become the ruler of my own interstellar empire of sorts. Though The world was made for the day, I was made for the night, and thus, the universe itself is within my destiny.
