It'd probably just get hyper-accelerated out the far side in the blink of an eye, with much the same visual effect.

It might work if the hole wrought a simplified version of time-dilation on your ship - crush down Space Engine's time compression commensurate with the acceleration due to gravity from the hole (have that only happen around black holes - it could get annoying elsewhere)... you'd have infinity to enjoy the effect tongue

EDIT: Here's another one:

Using the black hole as a "wormhole" also gives interesting results

Apparently you've recreated the monolith in Space Engine. wacko biggrin

I wish we could actually use this effect somehow.

I thought about using the music from 2001 for that. Nice to know I wasn't alone in thinking that it reminded me of the monolith.

I didn't make a wormhole, but I was screwing around with the black hole warp, and I made the Tessaract.

Great addon! Thanks! Although too sad that Interstellar's black hole still not enough realistic... It will be really cool to see something as much close to reality as possible then accretion discs will be implemented)

Doc, if you can could you also add the other planets in the Gargantuan system?

The other planets are on the riht side of the image.
The top row could be gas/ice Giants, while Edmunds should be a lot more reddish.
These are just recommendations, so it's fine if you don't add them.
EDIT
Planet 1- Grey ice giant
Planet 2- White/Grey slightly larger ice giant
Planet 3- Greyish green desert with Mimas-like moon
Planet 4- Hard to see, but dark greenish blue ice giant.
Planet 5- Edmunds
Planet 6- Manns

I might add them. I don't think I will recolor Edmund's though.

Ok! I have a question. I edited the Universe.cfg file as instructed, and placed all the files in their correct places, but still can't located them even after typing in Gargantua or Gargabarry? I'm no computer programer, but I'm wondering on what I might be doing wrong.

ShanMan, Kosh, can't help either of you without more specifics. There could be any number of things you did wrong.

Would it be possible to get just the smaller black hole warp (the way it bends the light, don't know what else to call it) without the actual objects?

This looks spot on, although mine is not working all that well. I've done everything that was said but every time the black hole is always the size of a regular black hole (1765.925 km in diameter). Hope you can help.

Something in the recent SE updates makes it not work. I have a fix but the whole addon needs to be adjusted so for now it will remain broken for those on anything after 0.9.7.2.
