How do you use a spaceship?

Press Ctrl-F3 to open the ships menu, or use the left side panel, like in previous versions of SE.

Quote expando ()
how to you move forward in the autopilot's journal

Just use Tab or the GUI to open the journal.

I'm pretty sure this information is in the readme file.

the journal is not that big

It holds 100 items by default; the amount is configurable.

The texture on the ground close up to a planet with plant life visible. I just find it's blurry and too much shadow. Something just doesn't sit right with me about it.

Only complaint is that the variability planets textures and colors do not look real... Repeating color shades in most planets (planet class). Version 0.97 in this is better.
Something just doesn't sit right in 0.971 with textures, colors and shades planets. sad

Hey, I just signed up, but i have been following this game for a long time until recently, the simulation has been updated to .971 and now the simulation will not load any planets, it just crashes the graphics driver, and restarts it. I think it maybe my computer but i'm building a new one soon

Hi, bluejay0013!

What kind of graphic card does your computer have? Maybe I can help you with your problem. Thanks!

Cheers,
Vincent

Try setting LoaderMode to 1, VideoMemorySize to 2048, and VideoMemoryMaxPercent to 70 in main.cfg. That's worked to stop crashes for me in every version since 0.96.

I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

ihave integrated graphics

SE runs very poorly on integrated graphics, sometimes not at all. A decent spec AMD or Nvidia GPU is a must.

A question for spaceengineer, do you think you will be able to implement seasons on planets one day?

Anyway, I should note: as long as SE is a scientifically accurate Universe simulator, then one day it will implement ALL space objects and phenomenon that are known to modern astronomy. So you may not bother yourself with questions like "will SE one day have meteor rain implemented". I guarantee that it WILL.
