They omit the part where it runs up to the fire hydrant and leaks hydraulic fluid on it. tongue

Seriously though that's really freaking cool!

Late 21st Century/Early 22nd Century:

To Explain what is happening, Earth has become a mainly urban world. The human population is over 20,000,000,000. War has ceased and humanity is united under 1 government. Cybernetic Humans are plenty, making up half of the world population. Mars has been terraformed and humanity has 3 worlds to call home: Earth, The Moon, and Mars.
Mid 22nd Century:

Humanity begins a mass expansion to the stars. The Nadir goes to Kepler-452, the Retribution goes to Trappist-1, Dimir goes to some of the HIP stars. Nadir doesn't know their luck though...

Nadir makes the first extrasolar landing, and also, although it's not shown, the First Contact.
31st Century:

After a war lasting 800 years, the Treaty of Nadir is founded. The Alien and Earth empires fuse and then depart to expand their empire until the heat death.

steeljaw354, what do you have against ROBLOX? I built things in that game all the time (and it puts a use to the export skybox feature in SE)

I don't think such a post really fits with the theme of this thread as it is not really about making in depth stories about the future. This thread is for discussing the future of humanity based on current trends in society and tech and sharing recent advances.

Seems like most of this should be possible within this century.

We are bound to use them in our theories of the future anyway, the question is the thing called "realism", which may be a very complex thing, or it can be explained through Roblox pictures. Personally I don't really care either way, as our available knowledge does not allow us reliably project for more than a couple of decades in the future.

This kinda reminds me Diaspora plot, you should read it.
