From pages I've been reading they have weight estimations all over the place, and size I meant by what people were estimating as density.

Until we know what it's made of, its density is nigh unguessable. If it is unnatural and hollow (like a spaceship), then it would probably be filled with water in order to be submerged. If it is hollow, then its submerged density is likely 2-3 g/mL. If it is solid and made out of rock, then its density is probably 3-4 g/mL. And if it's made out of unobtanium then who knows how dense it could be biggrin

Either I'm missing your joke here, or there's been some kind of miscommunication

It was meant as the beginning of the question "Hey wait a second isn't Mars in the same solar system as Earth" where Mars could be substituted for any body in the solar system.

Wasn't surprised about the 2 suns picture to be honest as I've had people say some pretty dumb things before regarding such things.

What I've been reading on different sites and papers say quite a few things. Some say its Bronze or other metals, possibly hollow, some say sandstone(obviously not), and others say carved granite or marble. But yeah you are right it could be any number of things and until some sort of sample is taken its all highly speculative.

Battle of LA 1942.
Unretouched version

UFO over Los Angeles 1942 - The Witnesses

The story:
"Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Los_Angeles
Air raid sirens were sounded throughout Los Angeles County on the night of 24 - 25 February 1942. A total blackout was ordered and thousands of air raid wardens were summoned to their positions. At 3.16 a.m. the 37th Coast Artillery Brigade began firing 12.8-pound anti-aircraft shells into the air at reported aircraft; over 1,400 shells would eventually be fired. Pilots of the 4th Interceptor Command were alerted but their aircraft remained grounded. The artillery fire continued sporadically until 4.14 a.m. The "all clear" was sounded and the blackout order lifted at 7.21 a.m."

More than 1,400 shells fired at the object for more than an hour with no effect?

Yes, as you would expect if there was no object there.

I see no evidence here that there was any extraterrestrial spacecraft, nor anything else there for that matter. The only thing I saw in the sky in the photos was something cloud-like, possibly flak bursts. Los Angeles was a very populous west-coast city, and the United States had just entered into a war with a major Pacific imperial power which had just attacked another US target a few months prior. People in LA would have been pretty jittery at that time, and the military was eager to engage the enemy to protect American territory and go get revenge for Pearl Harbor. In that kind of environment it does not take much to spark an incident like this.

Also many soldiers reported saying they saw nothing but noticed firing in a general direction and so they started firing into that direction. What you ended up with was humans shooting at the same region of nothing and a big mess. The spotlight image combined with military reports pretty much support the idea that they had no idea what was going on.

Here is another great conspiracy, one which I've had plenty of arguments over with people who support it.

Its about life on Mars.

Is that about the conspiracy theories and UFO proponents, or about the people shooting them down?

They discovered a hole leading inside the structure with a current coming out of it so we can assume that it's at least partially hollow.

This is actually a very interesting point:

What if we all see different colours and just have same names for them?

So, They were shooting at nothing for more than an hour?. So they just got in hysteria and starting shooting at the air.

Have you actually taken a look for more than 2 seconds what I just posted?.

You know I love Space Engine but this thread.... is very very ugly. Disappointing and narrow, narrow, narrow.

You know you both win. I only hope one day truth comes out.

So is this

Quote (Antza2)

Actually its the same color, saw a pretty informative program on Science channel about it. Just depending on the wording, names, and uses of the colors different societies brains may see them in different light so to speak.

I don't keep up with internet memes smile

Quote (Antza2)

I used to think about this and similar questions very much when I was younger. Eventually I came to conclude that in fact we do see the same colors, and have the same emotions, and recognize patterns of light in a similar way, etc. It's actually not very hard to prove, it just seems like it would be at first.

Quote (jtmedina)
So, They there shooting at nothing for more than an hour?. So they just got in hysteria and starting shooting at the air.

Probably. It would not be the first time in history that such a thing had happened, and it probably won't be the last. Humans are exceptionally fallible creatures.

Quote (jtmedina)

Yes, I did. I looked at your links and I examined every picture closely. Just like I always do. And I reported to you what I saw. An equally valid question would be did you actually read everything I wrote?

Quote (jtmedina)

I'm sorry you feel that way. If you're sure that this is the truth, then its arguments should stand on their own merits. I think I'm being very open about it, but perhaps I'm not. If I am being closed minded, could you please explain to me how I am? I really do care about the truth more than anything, so if there's something that I'm missing then help me out.

Let me explain what i meant: Person A sees coulour normally. Person B sees them in negative(maybe because his brain manages colours differently). For him red is blue and blue is red, but because he was raised to call what he sees as red, blue, he keeps calling it blue and thinks that everyone sees them the same way as he does. Or maybe those negative colours are actually the proper colours! crazy

I understood what you meant, and my reply to that question in my previous post addresses it (in short, yes, almost everyone sees colors the same way).
