| You forget that the thing with the tinfoil is a part of the conspiracy theories.
And as most conspiracy theories are brought by the conspirators in circulation to make conspiracies implausible, the idea with the tinfoil were brought in circulation, that people believe they could protect themselves.
In reality, the tinfoil only acts as an antenna to amplify thought influencing signals.
Don't forget to look here.

| Well dang. Admittedly I'm out of my depth here since I never tried the tinfoil. Good to know. I've always found my collection of meteorites, rune casting, and ancient alien artifacts to be effective for boosting my shielding, but I recognize those aren't as widely used or easy to obtain.

| Don't be fooled by conspiracy theorists. They have a secret plot. They cunningly circulate conspiracy theories in order to distract us from their shady secret.

| Unsurprisingly, I discover that some people have independently discovered what Midtskogen showed and, not knowing the science, immediately went conspiracy-theory looney over it.

| Quote Watsisname ( ) "This video contains content from AgoraVoxFrance and is not available in your country."
It seems ridiculously silly to restrict someone from viewing something on a borderless network because of arbitrary borders imposed in meatspace.
This is obviously a conspiracy put in place by the recording industries who are owned by the illuminati to force national conflicts on us everyday preventing world peace and leading to more wars.

| I would prefer not to talk about this as you are probably thinking I am an idiot for believing this thus leading to another ban. I'm not forcing you to believe this, afterall you have free will and if you choose to believe in something else, that is your choice. Explain why the corona is MILLIONS of degrees while the surface is only thousands. Makes no sense without electric universe. If you want to listen... fine but do so with an Open Mind.

| You're not an idiot for believing the electric universe idea, especially if you are not a professional astrophysicist. It seems like a very reasonable idea, and appeals to our common sense and experiences with other phenomena. It makes very complicated things much easier to understand.
Unfortunately, it does have one small problem in that it is completely wrong.
The thing is, common sense is not good for doing physics. While I was doing physics tutoring, there were so many times that I had people jump on an initial reaction or gut feeling to solve a problem qualitatively, and they would get it wrong because the correct route to the answer required more work. I became fond of telling them,
"Do not listen to your gut. Your gut does not understand physics. Use your brain, the principles you have learned, and any mathematical techniques you can bring to bear."
We train ourselves very hard for very many years to become physicists. You have to beat out that Aristotelian "oh this sounds reasonable so it must be right" manner of thinking, and learn that the correct way to solve a problem -- and be confident about it -- is to do the hard work. Physics requires rigor. :)
The electric universe theory is not a theory because it hasn't been verified by rigorous tests, is not a model because it lacks a rigid mathematical framework, is not successful as a set of hypotheses because it is easily seen to contradict simple observations, and is not taken very seriously by professional astronomers because its motivation is ridiculous.

This, we don't fully know. It has been an unsolved problem in astrophysics for many decades. However, just because we don't know, doesn't mean you should believe any idea that sounds reasonable to you.
Instead, we continue to study it, do the work, and figure things out.
There are lots of interesting, unsolved problems in science. If there weren't, science would stop, and that would be very boring. Here's one I find particularly interesting:
Explain Sonoluminescence. If you can't, then I get to believe whatever I want.

I removed my post because Watsisname had a better reply coming. Banning over a disagreement on views would be an abuse of power and should never be of concern. Your past bans were due to putting little to no effort into your posts/threads even after receiving a ban and being warned. This is not the place to discuss such things so lets end this here.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) fine but do so with an Open Mind.
My brother defends the electric universe with a passion. I've read into it and watched many of the videos, but my issues with it are fairly well covered in Watsisname's post.
