| Maybe the result of ice or salt deposits from impacts or materials under the surface. Are you suggesting it's something else entirely?

| Quote steeljaw354 ( ) How does salt form without water in the vacuum of space on the smallest planet with almost no gravity or intelligent intervention Point taken. Most of us don't think your stupid; to me, you seem just gullible. Think about it from the perspective a non-alien believer. Why would aliens need large natural looking salt deposits in the first place?

| Quote steeljaw354 ( ) it might be city lights They're obviously not lights, the highest resolution imagery shows that. There's also the fact that the spots are not visible when on the dark side of Ceres, meaning they are illuminated by reflected light, not emitted light.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) "Paradolia" yeah right. What does paradolia have to do with Ceres? Or anything else for that matter?
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) There are pyramids and such on these objects Show me one example of an extraterrestrial pyramid. And I don't mean some low resolution image of something that just kinda looks like a pyramid, I mean clear, unambiguous imagery of an extraterrestrial construction.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) How were the pyramids built with BASIC tools, when we can't even lift 100 ton rocks? Several construction methods available to the ancients have been tested and proven able to allow for the movement of such rocks for the construction of pyramids. Extraterrestrial intervention is unnecessary.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) We think we have all the knowledge and power I don't know a single intelligent and knowledgeable person who believes that.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) but we are powerless against the forces of nature/universe We have the technology to change global climates, engineer plagues, prevent (or even cause) asteroid impacts, synthesize chemical elements, and cause mass extinctions in the biosphere, and our technology has only reached a fraction of its potential. I wouldn't call that powerless.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) Mars is where we must look, megastructures on the moon also, I can bombard this thread with images and evidence. Please do, don't worry about being off-topic, I'll move the posts to the appropriate thread later.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) And then nasa just makes some absurd explanation like "Camera error" "Paradolia" "Some random rock formation or salt" Are you suggesting that camera technology and the human brain are both immune to error? Also, why would NASA release this supposed evidence of alien life in the first place if they wanted to cover it up? It's completely nonsensical.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) How does salt form without water in the vacuum of space on the smallest planet with almost no gravity or intelligent intervention? A large percentage of Ceres is composed of water.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) What makes you think it is salt? Because of spectroscopic measurements. They image the surface of Ceres with a spectrometer, which allows them to see which compounds are present, as each chemical element/compound has a unique spectroscopic signature.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) Just because they tell you? Why do you believe that the pictures they show you are accurate in the first place? Just because they tell you? You can't just arbitrarily cherrypick which information released by NASA that you choose to accept.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) Of all the stars and planets in the universe, what makes you think we are the only? Who said that we were? All anyone said is that the specific features that you attribute to intelligence are better explained by natural phenomena. Also, just because we're not the only intelligent civilization in the universe does NOT mean that other civilizations must have built things all over our system. Given what we know about astronomy and biology, we can make a rough calculation of the number of other civilizations that are likely to exist in our galaxy. Even using optimistic numbers, the inevitable result is that there are relatively few, meaning that they would be separated from each other by thousands, if not tens of thousands, of light-years. It's also highly likely that many would never expand very far into the galaxy. So the odds of any civilization coming to our system and building a few random little structures and then leaving are astronomically low.

Formation of salts is a common and inevitable result of physical processes in the early solar system. Plus, there is water. Plus, we know this because we can examine the compositions of primitive meteorites.

| Quote steeljaw354 ( ) You probably would think I am stupid for saying it I don't think you're stupid at all, a dreamer maybe, which is usually a good thing. Some dreams can come true, some not. That's why scientists push the limits of knowledge, to make those dreams real. It all begins from what we actually know, though. For my part, unfortunately I passed that age when a blurry photo makes me infer a contact with galactic civilizations. Unless it's sci-fi content in books and movies, but that's suspension of disbelieve.

| Ok, I'll address each of your images in order.
1. Doppelmayer crater on the Moon - How is a typical complex crater with a central peak evidence of aliens? Also, as this higher res image shows, the features look completely natural.
2. Ahuna Mons on Ceres - As you can see in this much higher resolution image, it clearly isn't a pyramid, nor is there any clear evidence of artificial construction. Anyway, didn't I say don't bother posting low-res images which barely resolve an object and claim that it's aliens? You're never going to prove anything that way.
3. Rock on Mars - It's just a pointy rock. Do you really think that aliens made a monolithic pyramid less than a meter across and stuck it haphazardly on a hill on Mars? Anyway, here is a similarly shaped - and clearly natural - rock on Mars, showing how intelligent intervention is not necessary.
4. Iapetus equatorial ridge - Why is that even here? Since when is a mountain range, even an interesting one like that, evidence of extraterrestrial construction? There is no evidence that any of its features are artificial. Here is a close-up of the mountains. Just what is so artificial about them?
5. Tower of Babel - That is an image processing artifact. Modern processing of the same raw images produce much better results, as shown here, and show no such feature.
6. Lunar boulder tracks - These are clearly tracks left behind boulders that have rolled down a hill on the moon. There's no evidence of intelligent intervention here... unless you suggest that aliens pushed the boulders down the hill?
7. Hitler with alien - That picture is fake. Here is the original.

| What formed the ridge then?
I'm not saying Ahuna Mons is a pyramid, what formed it then?
What moved those rocks on the moon then?
Why would they roll?
Are you saying not even a SINGLE alien abduction story, bigfoot sighting, ghost sighting, UFO sighting isn't real? Not even a SINGLE one out of the thousands?
Ever heard of that? It's called a vimanna, I watched an episode of ancient aliens where they built an RC model of that and it flew, perfectly. Doesn't look like to be some random object that somebody just made haphazardly out of gold.
Seen these? They show what seems to be aircraft of some sort. No, don't tell me it's just some symbol upside down or something like that.

| Quote steeljaw354 ( ) What formed the ridge then?
I'm not saying Ahuna Mons is a pyramid, what formed it then? I don't know, and neither do you. The point is that there's no reason to suspect they weren't formed by natural processes. They look like natural objects, and there's no evidence to the contrary.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) What moved those rocks on the moon then?
Why would they roll? Seismic events + gravity. A tremor from a nearby impact could easily send such boulders tumbling down a hill. They could also be impact ejecta.
Anyway, why did you show it as being evidence of aliens? Do you think that aliens pushed some rocks down a hill just to mess with us?
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) Are you saying not even a SINGLE alien abduction story, bigfoot sighting, ghost sighting, UFO sighting isn't real? Not even a SINGLE one out of the thousands? I didn't say anything was real or not real. I simply said that there is no evidence, and in virtually every case that has been examined, the claims end up being unsubstantiated, if not demonstrably false.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) Ever heard of that? It's called a vimanna, I watched an episode of ancient aliens where they built an RC model of that and it flew, perfectly. Doesn't look like to be some random object that somebody just made haphazardly out of gold. Its form is clearly biological, not technological. It's obviously just a stylized depiction of some animal, just as with hundreds of other similar gold pieces they made. Also, of the hundreds of such gold artifacts that were discovered, only a very small number even remotely resembled airplanes (such as the ones below), and even then the resemblance is remote. Don't you think that if they were really exposed to flying machines it would have left a bigger impact on their culture than that?
Also, that thing is not called a "vimanna" (which should properly be spelled "vimana", by the way). Vimana just means aircraft, and is also the name of a flying chariot/palace in Hindu mythology. Hindu as in India. The artifact you mentioned is from South America. There is no relation between the two.
Quote steeljaw354 ( ) Seen these? They show what seems to be aircraft of some sort. No, don't tell me it's just some symbol upside down or something like that. Sorry to disappoint you, but it's just two Egyptian names overlapping each other. See below:
The overlapping names:
Separated:
Example of the first name by itself elsewhere, for comparison:

| You're talking as a true believer, this is faith, not reason. Fair enough, but this is going nowhere. Ancient Aliens is fun, sometimes. Not enough hard Sci-fi for my taste, though.

| Quote Mosfet ( ) And this ìs faith. or maybe it's my fault, sorry sometimes english is difficult for me. No, you're right, it is faith. Faith is belief in something without regard for any evidence for or against it, and that's exactly what's going on here.
steeljaw354, you presented claims and purported evidence for them, and I demonstrated how those claims were not supported by the evidence and showed that your evidence didn't support your claims. Instead of addressing this and being intellectually honest, you decided to ignore all of it and say "whatever, I believe all of this anyway". In essence, you stuck your fingers in your ears and said "la la la, I'm not listening". This is a clear demonstration of unreasonable behavior and a lack of critical thinking skills. It's also not very nice when someone tries to engage in a serious discussion with you in good faith, exerts effort to address your points and back up their own with hard evidence, and then just ignore everything they've said. If you were really serious about this topic, you would address the points that have been made to you.
