| Two German students vandalized the Great Pyramid of Giza, stealing samples, in an attempt to prove that it was built by a lost ancient civilization nearly 20 000 years ago, which has been covered up by a massive conspiracy ever since.

| A few days ago, I have run into a conspiracy theory so stupid my IQ lowered just by reading it. Unfortunately, I cannot find the thread anymore, it was on some science forum, but trust me when I say that I am not making it up at all.
Basically some guy thinks that the large craters on the Moon are formed when it collides with Earth and bounces off of it. The theory is apparently backed by the fact that some crater on the Moon vaguely resembles Antarctica.
I mean seriously, what does this bonehead think the Moon is made of? Cheese?
*sigh* And I thought conspiracy theories can't get any stupider than 'Obama controls the weather'...

| Oh wow, that reminds me of a book I once read called "Who built the Moon?" where someone asserted the Moon is built by someone because of coincidences like it being the same size as the Sun in the sky.
By the way, you should be able to find it in your browser's history using ctrl+shift+H in firefox (possibly other keys in different browsers).
I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

If that even happened once, we wouldn't be here talking about it.

I've heard of some similar stuff from conspiracy theorists like David Icke.

Lol thanks, I just found the disgrace. Here it is, read at your own peril.
EDIT: Correction, he thinks that the Moon collisions formed the continents, not the craters, which to me is even more stupid.

Considering everything he said, it may sound like he is. The only thing that makes me think he is dead-serious is the fact that he seemed to experiment so much to see if the continents match the craters on the Moon.
Honestly, I hope he is trolling, but to me it seems unlikely.

| I'm still not convinced that there is a single person who actually seriously thinks the Earth doesn't rotate. I think they're all just trying to be funny.

Quote Watsisname ( ) I'm still not convinced that there is a single person who actually seriously thinks the Earth doesn't rotate. I think they're all just trying to be funny. I'd like to think so too, but unfortunately there are undoubtedly a few people out there who believe that it is unmoving.
