| Well, it's September 11 again, or as I've taken to calling it, "National Conspiracy Theorists' Outspeak Day", and the internet is abuzz with crazy claims of all sorts yet again. Fun fun.

I found a recent interview with Steven Mondul, the Virginia DOT Emergency Manager, I found it very interesting

| Quote (HarbingerDawn) pause video at 0:11 It looks too weird to be an astronaut with all that shaking of the camera. Therefore, I conclude
EDIT: Also, I'm not sure if this is a conspiracy or not, but

| I remember reading about a conspiracy "theory" a few years ago that claimed classical antiquity had never happened. History as we know it is only accurate from the 14th century onwards, and before that mankind slowly came out of prehistory. The Roman empire or the ancient Greeks had never actually existed and were medieval stories made up by people to make their own rule seem more legitimate and rooted in history. Naturally the existence of places outside of Europe and their history was completely ignored.
I wish I could remember where I found this "theory", since it sounds quite funny and I would love to hear some more about it.

| Quote (jtmedina) Fake Skeptics & The "Conspiracy Theorist" Slur What a lovely bunch of dogma meant to convince people to blindly follow a certain path (ironically the very thing the speaker supposedly wants others not to do).
Calling someone a conspiracy theorist does not mean that you're trying to marginalize them or skew the debate. Most often it is simply a statement of fact. Someone who is a habitual proponent of theories involving large conspiracies by those in power is in a direct and literal sense a conspiracy theorist.

| Thanks! That wasn't the theory I was looking for, but through Wikipedia magic it led me to the one I was thinking of, which is way sillier even than that one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Chronology_%28Fomenko%29
It contains such gems as the Hagia Sophia being the Temple of Solomon and just about every city in the world being Jerusalem. And Erasmus wrote the New Testament. And every conventional method of dating is wrong because they're all wrong.
