| Not exactly conspiracy theory (though it certainly could be used as the foundation of one), just more vague new age bs.
These kinds of ideas are so much more appealing to most people than religion, especially at this point in time, and it does cause some concern in me about whether a worldview grounded in this kind of mysticism might replace organized religions, rather than a worldview grounded in science. I already know many people who ascribe to this sort of thing who would otherwise be placing the greatest weight in science.

| A new asteroid, Nibiru, will collide with earth in november/dicember 2012, I heard it in an italian newscast, they are saying that an asteroid big as texas is going to collide with earth in near future, and there is a 30% probability, it said that NASA does not confirm nor deny the news, I am so scared, did you ever heard it? I can't find in any news site!
And then i knew that Nibiru was a planet orbiting a brown dwarf near Oort Cloud...
