| I know most of you guys are telescope owners, just admit it. What do you guys have? Seen any cool things? Discuss.
I myself have an 8-inch Orion XT.

| Oh no! not another post about comparing our equipment!
I hope there's no double entendre in that declaration of yours But I wouldn't be surprised if SpaceEngineer has the biggest one here, but he'll have to tell you that himself. It has something to do with his line of work....

| I shall disappoint you guys. I have only 10x50 binoculars.
But I regularly do observations on the biggest radiotelescope RATAN-600. This is my job as a research associate.

Wow, that is still impressive, what do the observations look like on the radiotelescope? How far can it see? Have you seen any cool things?

| I make observations of CMBR. How far is it? Hmmm... 13.7 billions light years:) But if you want to observe a galaxy, it may not be seen due to small "radiobrightness". I don't know which galaxies RATAN is able to observe.
How are observations made? I go to a receiver cabin, turn on many devices and launch a control program. An antennae receives a signal, that is amplified by several million times and then goes to a special PC that has a Fourier spectrometer board. This PC accumulates a spectra input signal, and records it onto a hard disk. So observations are done with several graphics on the PC monitor.

Yeah...but to be fair to Talisman, astrology does have a specious connection to stars, then again he did say crazy, which astrologists are -- for believing in such superstitious nonsense.
Perhaps you meant astrophysicist Talisman ?
