I noticed, but I was thinking it was simply reflection from wet leaves.

Hmm I have no idea but an interesting thing about that is how it shows up right before the strike. There is a street lamp a little ways down that could be the source, but that lamp was off during the storm.

on moday its gonna be 38c or 100f here. its almost high as the all history record Since measurements for may surprised 2016 is super hot here
some places as eilat in the south will reach 46c or 115f!!
the dead sea will reach 47-48c or 118f!! surprised
its only 6c less than the record for the country of 54c or 130f that measured in 1942 and acording to the what i see, that 54c was the hottest temp in asia recorded. strange that it was hotter here than places like iraq or saudi arabia that are actully deserts wacko

I went from shoveling snow to shorts in a week. The daily mean went from 1C to 18C. Today it's close to frost again. That's May in Norway. :-/

Yeah, that's pretty hot. A +14C anomaly in itself actually isn't that exotic, but definitely it is up there and especially over such a long period. Fortunately there should be relief in a few more days.

Earlier this spring we had +18 and even some isolated +20C anamalies for a short while, shattering a lot of all-time records, even for records a month or two later in the year! Never have I felt hot in early April here. Pretty insane heat for this area, and it flooded a number of rivers with the snow-melt.

Maybe not unusual in some parts of the world ... but here in Holland shelf clouds are not that common :)
This one was in 2007. Came home after work with dark skies. Once inside I looked out of my window and this one was coming. Too big to capture in 1 shot, so made a 3-part pano shot of it.

Yeah, it really was! Wish I had a good camcorder back then though: the "shockwaves" in front were moving so fast, you really could see the clouds in front moving and swirling around. And also the dark green color was changing a lot.
And the funny thing was: almost nothing happened at the end, just a little bit of rain and some wind smile

yep true, the average may temp in my town is 25c and now its 38c in the shadow and 42c in the sun.
walked 5 minutes outside and wanted to kill myself. :p
we have lot of heat waves in spring and fall.
but what is strange about that heat wave is how long it is. it started allready from thursday and the peak is today!
it was around for few days of +10 anomaly heat. its something that rarly happen even here in the desert area.
also, right now central europe experience anomaly of around -5c while here its +20! its very amazing to see that
temp at 850hpa, notice the green cold area in europe while pink hell hot here

so spring at its finest. after the 40c few days ago, there will be rain here next days with -6c anomaly.
maybe the last rain until the next winter but still something good because the north of the country is in big drought this season.
the rain far from average. here its a bit lower than average but the rain that will come can bring us to the average or closer. smile
the weather will be stable from end of spring when we reach summer, 28c average here with mean day temp that can reach 40c sometimes.
smile

spacer, right now in Italy temperatures are quite in the average, even if we are not that far away. Actually the max temperature is slightly more than the average but it's not noticeable.

Also when there's some wind or it's raining, you definitely can't go outside without wearing a jacket, yesterday I needed to wear it even at 2 PM...

P.S.: No, I don't live in Sweden, it's just that in my office we use a Swedish proxy. cool
