I´m developing a space simulator app for android and I wanted to ask permission to talk about it in the forum.
I know it's against the forum rules to promote non SpaceEngine sanctioned games but since this app was inspired by Space Engine and I name both Space Engine and Vladimir in the credits I think you could make an exception.
Obviously my app won't come even close to Space Engine in terms of detail and scale, but I think you may find it interesting.

Yes sir, I am dead serious on the torrent idea. Also, I'd like to say why I don't like orbiter. Because the Community was mean to me and harassed me and cyber bullied me back in the year 2000. It wasn't nice at all. But thats another story

So... you're belittling a program not because you actually have any problem with it, but because a few people who were connected with it did some things to you that you didn't like 13 years ago? That doesn't make any sense at all. And did they really bully you without provocation, or did you do or say some things to them that might have made them unfriendly to you? Not that that makes much difference in this case since that is still a nonsensical reason to dislike the software itself.

Actually, that is called an opinion. If SpaceEngine is free, then why does this guy have to charge for his program on a forum that is giving the software away for free? I think that's scamming as well, in my opinion. I have free speech and so it is allowed on the forum. Last I checked, Hitler doesn't run this forum, nor Stalin, it is fair to say. But that is my opinion. Why should he charge and promote his program on this forum if Space Engine is charging nothing? Again, the guy who created the app needs to stop scamming people thats why I am inclined to release the torrent after further review so people don't get scammed in buying a program that should be free in the first place. Nothing is wrong with that and this conversation is over, okay. I don't want to be hijacking a thread based on opinion. Thank you.

Fair enough. I just think that the app shouldn't be promoted on here seeing how he ias asking for money and Space Engine doesn't do that. That's why I'm a bit heated and pressed on not buying into the should be free program. I see no benefit to his app to Space Engine if he's charging for his own gain.

I recall you have tried this lame run-away tactic before on this forum. Sorry, but you can't simply 'end' a conversation on a public forum when it doesn't go your way. If you post something questionable, people will respond to it accordingly whether you like it or not.
And for your information, what you did is wrong, because asking for help with torrenting non-free software is piracy and is a blatant violation of forum rules. Piracy is illegal. If you did not like how gpaw5765 advertised his software and thought it didn't belong on this forum, then you should have reported the post to a moderator and let them deal with it.

SE and gpaw's app are not the same program, it is his own software. And he's not charging for it here, he's just saying "hey everybody, look what I made", just like plenty of other people have done.

His app does not constitute a scam. If he was trying to sell a distro of SE for money, then that would be a scam. But he is selling his own software - at a very modest price I might add - and that is certainly no scam. The only person trying to genuinely rip anyone off here is you by wanting to steal, or facilitating the theft of, his software. If you ever do that again you will not be welcome on this forum anymore.

| I have created another astronomy app, this time for watching the orbits of Near-Earth Asteroids. The asteroid's positions are calculated using standard keplerian orbits so they are not 100% accurate, but they are good enough approximations.
This is not as interesting as my previous app, but it's still cool to have an idea of the amount of dangerous asteroids out there. The full version moves over 1000 asteroids in real time!
