As for Space Engine, I asked Vladimir about planet textures here

Yes, and he said that they are free for free use. Which means that you can use them for whatever you want as long as it is free. Which means that you can not use them in a commercial program.

Also gpaw5765, you posted this thread in the wrong section of the forum, and gave it a misleading name, in addition to the aforementioned copyright infringement. Also, this topic cannot be posted on the forum at all, as specified in the forum rules:

Quote (Forum Rules)
Any advertising, including Internet projects (except for the cases of preliminary approval with the administration), is strongly prohibited.

So be aware that this thread may be removed soon, in addition to being renamed and moved now.

Huh? I missread Vladimir's post, I understood that it was free to use, how embarrassing... I will contact him to see how we can resolve this.

I tried to ask for permission before posting information about my app, but nobody answered in several days. I didn't know what was the most suitable section to post it, that's why it ended up in General Discussion (now I see that the section title is a bit misleading as it's only intended for "General" discussions about SpaceEngine). I don't think the thread title was really misleading, at least that was not my intention.

Well the title implied that you had converted SE to android somehow. Why put SpaceEngine on the title, if the thread was not about SpaceEngine in the first place?

Also, everything that is not SpaceEngine related should go to the "Science and Astronomy Discussions" subforum or the "Off-topic Discussions" subforum. That should be pretty easy to figure out.

Great. Now try to get in touch with Steve Albers (make sure to mention that this is a commercial program and not a free one).

Made some changes: added more information about planets and moons, and added the possibility to go to Mars in the demo. You might want to check it out.

Hello dionbouton, and welcome to the forum. Please take a moment to read the forum rules.

The link you posted looks unrelated to gpaw5765's Android app, and is also unrelated to SpaceEngine. Rather, it looks to be inspired by Orbiter.

HarbingerDawn is right, the site you posted is not related to my app. I have to admit the one from that site looks much better than mine, although it doesn't seem to support interstellar flight.

Not to be mean but Space Engine is currently free and to my understanding yours isn't? I dont think so... too soon.

Does anyone have a torrent for this? If not, I could probably make one.

Huh? Are you serious? Orbiter is a great sim, and it certainly is no joke.

Do you mean a torrent for gpaw5765's app? Again, are you serious?
