Was mostly being facetious.  While the mechanisms of abiogenesis are still not completely understood, I think we understand enough of it to be pretty sure that life here arose by natural processes. Or maybe was seeded elsewhere through panspermia if you're into that idea.

Not really, but it's an interesting thought whether it would be noticeable in the geological record if somebody "aided" evolution a bit along the way, for instance caused the Cambrian explosion.

| coldfuse, please don't make substance-less posts just for the sake of raising your post count, even for the ability to make a new thread. Chances are very good that there's already an appropriate existing thread for it anyway, which is why we create that 10-post requirement to train new users to look for them before making new threads.
