| Also, you've gotta love how Murray talks about his game being unique because it actually simulates physics(nope) unlike other games(I doubt he never heard of KSP, at the very least) and how NMS is the only game that doesn't use skyboxes and actually simulates the entire universe(nope, every solar system is it's own bubble, even the stars are just light sources). I find this almost insulting to games like KSP and SE, which actually do what he describes. He's trying to pass his game off as revolutionary(and unfortunately, many people believe it is), while in reality the game is pretty unimpressive on the technical side of things.
There was also an interview where he said the following ludicrous gem:
Quote When he desired the possibility of green skies, the team had to redesign the periodic table to create atmospheric particles that would diffract light at just the right wavelength.
Wow, seriously? And then it's the gamers fault for overblowing the game, not HG's?

| What about the learning of alien languages? From the let's plays it looked like it helped to understand interactions for trade, but slow to develop and I never saw anyone get very far with it. Did it end up being useful (if you did any of it)?

Basically, 90% of the words you learn are more or less useless in the grand scheme of things since they can't possibly point you towards the correct answer in trading. The other 10%(like, for example, "rare" or "common") are basically dead giveaways for the correct answer. It's an interesting idea, but in the end it doesn't have much of an impact on gameplay - the rewards for correctly answering an alien are usually easily obtained by other means, and there's no real impact from picking a wrong answer.

| Let me sum up the language aspect of the game in quotes from the game
You have learned the Gek word for 'Gek' You have learned the Vy'keen word for 'Grah' You have learned the Korvax word for 'Korvax'
Quote DeathStar ( ) and there's no real impact from picking a wrong answer.
Whoa man you might not get that extra tech or 1000 units.
Quote Watsisname ( ) Did it end up being useful (if you did any of it)?
I took every chance to get language stones but once I got the words for isotope, weapon, and units everything else became pretty much pointless.

Cool! I do that as well sometimes, if I can successfully remember the dreams.

| Lucid dreaming is actually not very difficult to learn. There are many methods that can be used to achieve lucidity. I have found that even thinking about lucid dreaming can cause a lucid dream.

| Yeah, I definitely recommend definitely look into it. There's a lot of great info available online for how to start having them.
