| What happens if one day the Internet is so complex that it develops intelligence and fully conscious? Will it perceive us as stand-alone entities, or will it feel us only as a function of itself?
Don't forget to look here.

Without the correct algorithm this will never happen. Brains didn't just suddenly wake up and become conscious, they went through a refining process for millions of years. You can grow brain sized chunks of neural tissue but without the programming and the regions of the brain alongside the systems for detecting the environment it would be little more than a lump of neurons. No matter how complex you make the system without the proper structures in place it will never become conscious.

I dare say, intelligence is overrated. First of all, can you tell if there's possible any type of intelligence other than a human one? Secondly, how would we know there is any intelligence in the Internet, even a human-like one? If we would try to apply a Turing test or something, there's simly no interfaces to operate with, and even if we create such an interface, wouldn't it be the same as creation of the intelligence itself? To me it seems to be pure philosophy, but time will tell.

| I realized that when I go to this site, a lot of the time I go to the Russian version without thinking. Does my brain want to learn Russian, or is it just laziness?
Tips for finding Earth-Like planets: Look for F, G, or K Class stars. M class habitables will almost always be tidelocked. Oceanias can, of course, also be habitable, they just have tiny amounts of land.

The English version has "en" as a subdomain while the Russian version doesn't.

| Guys, I have a problem.
Everytime I go to YouTube, there is a moment in which I start looking at videos about kittens, dogs, and other cute animals... I mean... this is not normal, just look at my YouTube homepage!

It's getting full of cats! Do someone have a solution for this?
