| That has got to be the most cringe-worthy writing about the presentation of a newly discovered exoplanet I've ever read.
Which is a shame, because the planet itself is absolutely fascinating.

Also, this most certainly did not need its own thread.

| Quote (NovaSilisko) Not entirely I didn't say that they weren't parodying a real planet, just that they weren't presenting one.

| I was wondering what the heck was going on with that -- I recognized the planet's description and discovery method, but not the RS designation.

| Quote (Watsisname) but not the RS designation. The only planets with RS designations are ones from SpaceEngine

| Yeah well Greedo shot first...... and missed. And Vader, he likes to say "no" a lot.
The Star Wars bluray films are the superior copies of the movies.

If I may quote the forum rules:
Quote (Forum rule V which exists and is real) V. Star Wars George Lucas keeps destroying his films with each release, and Han shot first. The original copies of the original (and only) trilogy are superior. All edits in subsequent releases are not cannon. Any posts to the contrary will result in a permanent ban.

| Meanwhile, I'm sitting back turning this whole forum into a big ol' Katamari.
Careful. The PLATT Collective has spurs.

| Quote (HarbingerDawn) I vote we adopt this as a new rule Added (22.09.2013, 04:32) --------------------------------------------- The plot of Star Trek 13 which was rejected by Paramount. I honestly don't know why.
Basically it goes like this: Gene Roddenberry is rolling in his grave because of the last 2 (more like the last 6) ST movies... literally. He finally decides he is going to get up and confront JJ Abrams (his first target).
Busy Photoshopping lens flares onto lightsabers in his office, which coincidentally looks like the bridge of the USS Vengeance, JJ Abrams hears the door burst open. He turns around and sees the reanimated corpse of Gene Roddenberry! With seemingly superhuman strength, he takes his hands and grabs JJs head. Gene starts squeezing as hard as he can, causing JJ to moan from the pain as Gene says "YOOOOU SHOULD HAVE LET ME SLEEEEEP!!!" JJs head cracks open as his daughter screams, but no one else in the room actually sees this part because they are blinded by a lens flare from JJs head.
