| I hope they do this as an update to the current version.
They really did improve the graphics though can't wait.

It will be. It's a free update for those who already own Ubox2. It's also a major coding revamp and re-organization and improvement. I might say its a rewrite, but I don't think its a TOTAL rewrite.
Still, massive improvements and many new things as well.

I like the impact features and stellar evolution (though the vid doesn't show the supernova  ). That black hole effect and stellar surface granulation look amazing too. The rings look pretty rough though. I know that that is an inevitable consequence of wanting them to be part of the physics simulation though, and they do look great when being perturbed.

| Yeah, the beta isn't out yet (will be sometime later this year), but things will be polished up.
I don't know why they didn't show the supernova (probably to pay attention to someone who had a question I guess?) and we on the Ubox forums wanted to see it as well, so, heres the link to the post with the supernova. http://universesandbox.com/forum....sg80470
I know it just sort of blips out when it goes supernova, but I'd imagine that the proccess of a supernova would be extremely fast and bright anyways.

At the timescales they're using it would be instantaneous, yes.

That isn't that bad. I suspected that would happen and I would gladly pay to get such a nice update.
I would gladly pay upwards of $20 to support the developers and get an even better version of the software. They obviously put quite a bit of effort into this new version and deserve as much support as they can get.
