| arbazarit, it does look good, that I admit. However, the only real major differences I see between this and SE is:
1. Volumetric clouds 2. Detailed terrain up-close with rocks scattered about
Number 1. is likely to be added in the not-too-distant future, considering that the necessary tech has been added literally just a few days ago(see posts above).
An interesting thing to note: while the FPS is buttery-smooth in the video, the PC it was recorded on is very beefy, IIRC. I think if you put the same game on an average computer and wanted decent FPS, as it stands, it probably wouldn't look nearly as pretty. Those are just my assumptions, of course.

| There looks to be some erosion or at least modelling of historic liquid flow going on - look at the patterns of the snow lying on the land. The texturing is phenomenal.
But yeah, those three things plus flora and shadows and other post processing stuff, and SE would be caught up.

| If stars will be able to go supernova at specific times, then the planets orbiting them will need to become evaporating planets when they get hit by the shockwave. SE would then need to be able to calculate how long it takes for each planet to evaporate completely based on its mass and proximity to the supernova.
Will the new volumetric shaders also be able to render planetary nebulae as spherical shells that are opaque at the edges and transparent in the middle?

| Considering the budget and the manpower of star citizen it seems normal that it is more impressive than a single man work.
But, though, it's still...baffling and amazing. I hope the game will look like this and that we won't have another no man's sky...

For 3 months now SE has continually been brought up in comparison to No Man's Sky, it is getting to be quite an annoyance.

| DoctorOfSpace,You are absolutely right. Space engine will never be no mans sky, And that's a good thing. No mans sky was compete garbage, why are we trying to put garbage on a pedestal to make space engine live upto? Space engine will never be worse than no mans sky because it is already better, And it will only get better in time to come.

| I have an easy 60 FPS when the screen is small, but when I fullscreen it falls down to around 10 FPS at best. Is this normal?

Don't be so defensive. I wasn't writing about SE but about Star Citizen. If you read my message you would have seen that i was telling that it was normal that it (Star Citizen) was looking more impressive than a single dev game (SE). But I was hoping the game (Star Citizen) will look like this (the youtube video) and that we won't have another man's sky (with Star Citizen). A big game with a big budget, big hopes, and big disappointments.
I would be very surprised if Space Engine look as detailled and as good as this video of Star Citizen. If it would be the case, it would mean that a single developer can do better than 365 people, which (as high as I estimate Space Engineers) would be...well...you know.
But, on the other side, I do hope SE will have other qualities, on several other aspects. Considering that I am a fellow player of Dwarf Fortress, I think you can guess where my preferences lies between good features and good looking.

Eh, give it 4 years, and I fully believe that SE can have planets as detailed as SC has currently. Sure, SE has far less developers, but SC devs have to focus on a lot of other gameplay features as well.
