| Quote Vinny ( ) I got a question for you, I'm using the shuttle in SE, when I do the reentry for example earth's atmosphere, would the shuttle heat up to bright red/yellow color and the spacecraft speed will decrease when entering the earth's atmosphere at entry interface which is at about 122 kilometers or 400,000 feet? Thanks! It would, but SE now didn't render heating effects.

| First of all thank you very much to the devs who made such an incredible software. It is absolutely stunning!
Ok now I did use the search function, so don't run screaming at me "use search!" and stuff, but I couldn't find anything useful, so here is my question: what are the licence conditions on this software. now I don't want to get like a 50 page copyright blablabla, but maybe something understandable for humans. I just wonder if we are allowed to use video material created with this engine for Youtube and specifically for my special purpose (this is my I am making this post) for a short film for my application to a film school. (of course with proper credits linking to the website and what not)
Looking forward to hearing from you! And also I am very excited to see, what great thing you come up next, to add to the engine. Sincirely Harei

| In short, you are allowed to use anything you make with SE for non-commercial purposes as long as credit is given. If you're going to use SE products for a project that you plan to make money on, you will have to contact Vladimir Romanyuk (SpaceEngineer) for permission.
Uploading videos to a personal Youtube account and making an application film for school are perfectly fine, please feel free to do so!

| Hi there, am I allowed to record the game and put it on YouTube? I am asking before I do it to make sure if it is okay, so I will not if I am not supposed to.

| Hi, guys!
I'm not 100% sure, in SE how do I land the shuttle space craft on the planet's surface & how do I take off from the planet's surface using the shuttle spacecraft? Thanks!
Cheers, Vincent

| Well, you basically get up to speed towards the planet so you're on a collision course, and then slow down (the atmosphere can help here) so you don't crash too hard. I don't think the normal hotkeys work.
As you taking off, increase your speed with the mousewheel and pull the nose up until you start lifting off. If you're on a world with low gravity you can use the thrusters instead with WASDRF.

| Quote apenpaap ( ) As you taking off, increase your speed with the mousewheel and pull the nose up until you start lifting off. Or use hover thrusters (Ctrl-Mousewheel). But ships on terrain are buggy, so taking off is not easy.

It's not a bug, rather the whole ship-to-body collision detection is unfinished(I think, someone correct me if I am wrong)

| Space ships in general are still unfinished (though much less so than in 0.97), so the collisions probably are too.

| Maybe a bit early to ask this, but will the next release of SE be 0.98 or will it jump directly to 1.0? The $15,000 goal seems connected with 1.0, and the funding is soon by its goal.
Love Space Engine!
