| Create and post here forum avatars made from SpaceEngine images for forum users to pick from. Images may be still images or animated gifs. Filetypes jpg, png, and gif are all acceptable.
Maximum dimensions are 140*140 px and maximum file size is 150 kB.
The opening post will be periodically updated to represent the full selection of submitted avatars.
To set one of these as your avatar, right-click on the one you want, select "Copy image location" (for Firefox) or "Properties" (for IE) to get the URL, then go to your forum profile, hit "Edit user details", and in the text box where it says "Avatar (URL)" paste the location you copied. Then save your profile.

| Nice ones Solaris, I've added them to the collection
I also edited your message to that it takes up less space.
I also recommend to others that when submitting multiple avatars to put 5 on one line, and not separate them each with new lines. This will keep people's scrolling fingers happy

| Quote (anonymousgamer) How do I turn video into photos for use in GIF images? Google around, there are plenty of ways to do it. I don't even do that at all, what I do is use SpaceEngine's built in frame capture system, put the frames I want into GIMP (only use ~30-40 frames) and just make a gif out of them. Takes some practice and you may have to work on indexing the colors with the right settings to get the file size down, but it can produce good results.
Besides, don't you already know how to do this, I thought you made your avatar?

| matty406, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, please try to keep as many avatars as possible on one line (up to five)
These look great, I'll add them to the collection!

| These are awesome, I am tempted to change my avatar... But then I would lose Bob the dancing skeleton pirate.

| I didn't actually make it myself; I remember finding a whole bunch of Monkey Island sprite GIFs somewhere at some point. When I was trying to find a good avatar to use here I was going through my picture folders and happened across them, and decided Bob would make a nice avatar.
