Translation updated for 0.9.6.2

Hi there,

I finished the german translation and I'm proud to release it. Thanks to Space Engineer for his photoshop templates and also thanks to Spica, who managed to include german umlauts.

You find the german translation as attachment.

Installation:
Download and extract the files and simply copy them into your Space Engine - mainfolder. Click "Yes" to overwrite existing files. Your done. Don't forget to backup your main.cfg!

If you have any suggestions or if you find any fault, don't hestitate to conatact me.

Best regards

The translation works perfectly. But I would rework the units. Instead of "Astronomische Einheiten", "Kiloparsec" and "Jahre" I would use "AE", "kpc" and "a" at exampel. And I found a "bug". Globular cluster (in the English original: globular) are listed as "Kugelförmig". This is the correct translation, but I would suggest "Kugelsternhaufen".

There are some more words, that I would change:

"Kluster" -> "Sternhaufen"

"Offen" -> "offener Sternhaufen"

"dicht" (Nebula) -> "diffus" or "Emissionsnebel" (I think the nebulae in Space Engine are all emission nebulae)

"Gravitation" -> "Schwerkraft" , because it descripes the gravity force on the surface better than "Gravitation"

I think that's it. By the way: The planet descriptions are perfectly translated.I think you have found there the best solution. smile

Hi Spica,

thanks for your feedback!
You are right, "Kugelsternhaufen" and "diffus" would better fit in the translation. Too late I noticed that I have left out a translation: "Cullface"... I have no idea what that means in german. Maybe you can help me out, Spica?

Using the short form of measures seems to be the best solution, I will change this, too. I'm not sure about "Gravitation", as this is the correct physical term since Einstein. It isn't wrong and sure it has the same meaning, but it doesn't include the theories that masses deflect spacetime. That means not the object itself influences other mass objects (Newton > Schwerkraft), but the deflection of spacetime is (Einstein > Gravitation). At the end it surely is a matter of everyones taste. happy

Hi Persia-Gangsta,

the translation still is based on the version 0.9.6.1. Just wait a few minutes. I'll do an upload for the current version 0.9.6.2.

Edit: Update!

Cullface is a programming term (culling front or back faces of the polygon) - I think it should not be translated.

Thanks for your answer, Space Engineer! That also was my suggestion. Leaving the word as it is, is certainly the best idea.
