How about two colliding and merging galaxies?

And the two dominant empires are conducting a massive war to decide who will rule the large future galaxy.

Don't forget to look here.

How 'bout three galaxies, like Arp 272, where the two larger merging galaxies just met and are getting to know each other, and then a small/larger galaxy that either is isolated(so no way of interstellar travel), or the merging galaxies are at war and the other galaxy is going like:

Thanks. smile The suggestion I had before deleting it was a fictitious purple or violet "Sa" Class galaxy. (No, not inspired by that "prince" musician, I've been itching for a purple galaxy for a while.)

Specs: Dell Inspiron 5547 (Laptop); 8 gigabytes of RAM; Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz; Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit; Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics 4400 (That's all there is :( )

I've been itching for a purple galaxy for a while.

Steps to make one:
1. go to wikipedia to find a real life Sa type galaxy
2. find a picture and save it
3. play with the hue and saturation tools in a photo editor(like photoshop)until you get a purplish color
4. make png and sys texutres
5. code in a new galaxy for space engine
6. add the model in "models.cfg"
DONE!

Wait, wait. I think we should start putting galaxies into the game after some people post here their star systems and nebulas. After that someone will put all galaxies into the game.

I think this is impractical.
I think, first should a galaxy be there.
This galaxy should not be too far away from the Milky Way, that the rounding errors are making not to big problems with the coordinates.

Then star systems, star clusters and nebulae could be placed in and around this galaxy.

Or did I misunderstand something?
Should we our systems, nebulae and clusters place in the Milky Way, and the galaxies are added only for decoration?

I mean, I can not place a star system somewhere, and afterwards it turns out that it is precisely in the central black hole of a galaxy! biggrin

What I would also find very interesting is the Milky Way in about 3 billion years, when we collide with the Andromeda galaxy!

That should give some interesting night skies.

Don't forget to look here.

We need star system that will be our main(like solar system)

For custom universe we should install SE in another folder and remove all catalogs IMO
