I've noticed that NGC 5701 has cut edges when viewed from certain angles, and the in game wiki seems to think the image is too big to fit the window.

I actually fixed that (I don't know how)

I found an idea for future representations of the Milky Way: https://www.newscientist.com/article....lky-way

I dunno how reputable that source is, but do you think you might be able to come up with a creative way to visualize this, Kexitt? biggrin

Could someone make the Milkomeda galaxy, which is when the Milky way and the Andromeda galaxy merge along with all the other satelite galaxies?

Milkomeda galaxy

It's probably will be an elleptic galaxy(very big one). You can try to make your own mod.
But scientists can't predict what Milkomeda will look like 100% correct.

This ripped apart galaxy is just a stream of stars, very thin and spread into huge space. It cannot be visible as a "glow" like spiral arms of a normal galaxy or whatever. It even was discovered by analysing stars in a deep sky surveys (SDSS if I remember correctly).

. Now I cannot make galaxies. I only can make an image of galaxy, so later I will put them to SE.
If you want to see a galaxy in a next release of my mod, but the image id blury, you're welcome. For example UDF 423. I've added some fake details to make a good texture.
Next release will be (I hope) in September.
Of course I can say no if I don't want or can't make your galaxy.

Kexitt, Are you going to update this mod for 0.98? I think there are some implemented galalxy models in the new version.

Some Galaxies, like this galaxy, haven't been implemented, if you did make a texture anyways.

Not a request, but it would be cool.

Understood. I noticed that page has a link at the bottom saying Sagittarius dwarf will somehow enhance the MW's spiral structure somehow: https://www.newscientist.com/article....spirals

What I am unsure of is whether that "enhancement to the spiral structure" already happened or is still impending in the 10 million years future as the article states, when Sagittarius Darf makes the final merge? Might that structural enhancement be represented in a new MW model by any chance?

I also vaguely remember that today, the MW might actually be a bit larger than we think it is because of some undulating waveform pushing out the edges more, although I forget where I read that. wacko
