Avatar system version 1 for SpaceEngine 0.9.8.0

This addon includs Polyphemus, Pandora and other moons and planets. Names for them are fictional, but related with mythology (father, wife and sons of Polyphemus). Alpha Centauri B system is also made according to Avatar wiki, however I removed two gas giants orbiting ACB, because they are unrealistic (but you may uncomment them in the script). Alpha Centauri A and B stars ans real planet Alpha Centauri B b is not included in this script, because they are already included in SpaceEngine's binary stars catalog and exoplanets catalog.

How to install:
Download the pak file and save it to addons subdirectory in your SpaceEngine installation directory.

I like having this addon just to give some substance to our closest star system.

Wow, from this setup, Pandora has the most bizarre day/night and seasonal cycles. A rapid orbit around Polyphemus, and being tidally locked to it, watching the black circular shadows from the other moons play across its surface. Total solar eclipses everyday lasting an hour and a half. The 2nd dimmer sun which sometimes rules the "night" sky, but in other seasons does not. The sky on Pandora would be spectacularly weird.

Hello smile
I installed this mod to check out Pandora it's kinda weird, it does work, I can go to it and everything, but it appears to only have deserts and oceans, no "green" ? And the interface says "Temperate Terra" not "Temperate Terra (with life)". It also looks a lot further away from the gas giant it's orbiting than in the screenshot at the top of this thread. Is that normal ?

Not that it's super important or something, I just found it weird having seen the screenshot and videos where it has green grounds.

I'm using Space Engine 0.971.

Screenshot (the whole planet is like this, only brown and white on the ground) :

I think that's because this mod is for Space Engine 0.9.7.0.

Love Space Engine!

That is because the life parameter is different in 0.9.7.1.
You must remove
Code
  Life            true

and put this somewhere in the code, below Pandora:
Code
    Life
  {
   Class   "Organic"
   Type    "Multicellular"
   Biome   "Marine/Terrestrial"
  }

Yes, the screenshot by SpaceEngineer was taken with a very low FOV. This makes the objects seem closer to each other than they really are.

I will be inactive on this forum for the time being. Might come back eventually

To match these visuals you will need Rodrigo's terrain mod

This is a remaster of the original Avatar system that was included in older versions of SE. It also adds the old planets back to Alpha Centauri B which currently only has 1 real world exoplanet that is known. The Alpha Centauri B worlds used to be known as "bloop" and other weird names, I have changed them to match modern naming of exoplanets. None of these worlds are real, I simply enjoy having them to populate Alpha Centauri.

I have also cosmetically altered nearly all of the worlds in this addon.

Here is how Polyphemus looked

And here it is

To install save the Avatar.sc attached to this post, place it in catalogs/planets and add "catalogs/planets/Avatar.sc" to universe.cfg under the "PlanetsCatalogs // planets catalogs" section.
