This is my thread for maps I made. I can create a map for an asteroid if you give me a model that is good enough.

Don't forget to delete "cache/filesys.dat". Credits : NASA, Tristan Audam. This map is provisional : it can be improved with further data send by New Horizons.


Installation procedure :

In the archives, you'll find a text file. Go to the right planet or moon on catalog/planets/SolarSys.sc, find the right tag (the tag which have the name of the text file), and replace or add it by the new. Copy the folder inside the archive on textures/planets and paste it in the folder of the right planet/moon.



Textures of saturnian moons are from Paul Schenk.

Cool, but it would be better if you make tiles resolution match with Iapetus diffuse texture tiles resolution (512).

It's better, but you may smooth out hard ridges artifacts on the texture.

Here's a reworked version of this map. Somes lines have been smothed, but sometimes, it is impossible to delete lines between textures of different resolution :

Voekoevaka, why did you make the tiles for the bump and surface maps of Miranda different sizes? They should be the same (ideally tiles should be 256 + border, so 258).

The bump file was enough precise to make 512 squares. But with the diff map, the most precise we can make is 256 squares.
When I tried to make the bump map with two levels, it leads me to an infinite loading bug.
