| The ship exported form the editor are have calculated size. It's impossible to scale it up, unless you scale up all modules.

| Don't put it inside the .pak file, it's not necessary.

| I'm actually mildly surprised people managed to open them to begin with. I know it's not terribly hard, but it isn't a native feature of Windows, or Mac as far as I know, and people still complain here and in a lot of other game forums that they can't figure out how to open a zip o_O

| Actually, opening zip is a native windows feature. But not opening pak.

| How do I create different ship views for my ship that I created with the editor? The default view is too far away.
Added (25.07.2015, 07:15) --------------------------------------------- Actually I figured out how to add different viewpoints with the camera command in the .sss file but how do I calculate the (x y z) coordinates for the camera position? The localref figures reported directly by SE (in ''*'' debug mode) do not match with the camera (x y z) values in the .sss file

| Quote n0b0dy ( ) How do I create different ship views for my ship that I created with the editor? The default view is too far away. If you're using 0.9.7.4 it's extremely easy. Select the ship, open the editor (type "edit" in the console), select "Edit behind camera", create a new camera, move to the place you want it to be, face the direction you want it to face, and click "Move here". Then press save.
If you're using an older version, you need to switch to edit mode (press NumPad *), get your camera's coordinates, then use those to manually add a camera into the .sss file.

| How can I create more than one ship? Is there some way that I can create multiple duplicates of a ship? I want to create at least three.

| ^ Go into the directory where you saved the ship, copy it, and paste it with a different name. Alternately, save a ship in the editor, then save it again with a different file name.
(and yeah, opening a zip is a native Windows feature. It only adds to my puzzlement when people can't figure out how to open them)
