Attention Facebook users: SpaceEngine has a Facebook page!

There you can get important updates about the program, like patch-release notifications, and view screenshots and videos. You can also learn a little about the history of the development of SpaceEngine, and be alerted on how you can further support the project (more on this soon!). And most importantly, share it with your friends! SpaceEngine is spreading faster and faster every week, but there are still many people out there who would love this program but who have simply never heard of it.

So go like SpaceEngine on Facebook, and share the page with others, especially any friends that you think might be interested.

Like us here!: http://www.facebook.com/SpaceEngine

And don't forget: spread the word!

Direct any questions related to the content of the Facebook page to Solaris or HarbingerDawn

I think he (jokingly) means that, if he gets on the Facebooks, he will no longer be anonymous. Correct? tongue

Well even if that is the case, few people - if any - will be able to associate your Facebook profile with your name on the forum, unless there is some obvious connection between the two (having the same URL as your forum name, for instance).

Well, liking the page on Facebook is entirely optional of course, and there's not much benefit anyway if you already have a forum presence. But even if you don't want to like the page, share it! Get your friends to like it, and maybe they'll get their friends on board, and so on. This is mostly about spreading the word smile

Unfortunately my friends are pretty much still in the stone age. They are the kind of facebook peeps who are only there for the 'likes' and virtual fame. Lol, silly folks these days. wacko

    My friends are

    a) Standard Facebook junkies with
    b) Computers that won't run this game and
    c) No care for Astronomy.

    or

    a) Actual legitimate friends with
b1) Computers that still won't run this game or
b2) Computers that will run the game and
    c) Not much care for astronomy

Although I am in a group, which is particularly geeky, so I'm going to link them to this and see what happens. Although as I recall not all of them have the state-of-the-art computers...

I always wondered how someone could have a terribly out of date machine that can't run things on todays market. Considering this generation of gaming is based on 2004-2005 hardware and you can build a computer that runs everything at 1280x720 for under $300. I guess it makes sense if the person is a teenager and doesn't have a steady income, but besides that it makes little sense.

That, and everyone loves their mobile devices and always wants to get the cheapest one there is...

But yeah I agree, I built my comp as a budget gaming rig almost three years ago, and it can run anything you throw at it without a problem. That people really have such mediocre hardware - especially when they claim that they just got it a year ago or something - baffles me.

Well thats what happens when you buy a prebuilt machine and don't build one yourself. I put mine together a year and a half ago on over a year old hardware and some pieces were over 2 years old. People tend to think building computers is difficult, when its really just clicking stuff and screwing stuff together.

Mobile craze and Facebook "gaming" craze is something I hope that dies down soon.
