Cool. I know SVN5135 had the updated star shader, if you want to see that.

I have here a screenshot that was made with an .exe, which I called 'celestia newstar-neworbit.exe'. As far as I can remember, I've patched the source code for it manually. But these were only experiments, as far as I know.

I myself have slowly grown to like SE a lot more than Celestia the past few months. However, after discovering Celestia in 2003, I wss hooked. Since then it was my primary platform for my world building projects. When finally getting a pc that could at least run SE in 2014, I began migrating all my worlds to SE, leaving behind all the ugly lores textures I kept re-using over and over. Now with 0.974 rc 1, I can truly recreate my worlds:

So beautiful! cry

Europa being eclipsed by Io ( as seen from Earth ) -- +- a few min. of the predicted

the simple cylindrical VS Cube map is no issue

and SE dose run in WINE ( at least it did the last time a ran it )

I am still surprised by how well Celestia has aged, it still doesn't look half bad.

I also have something.

I had no idea that something like that already existed for Celestia, until I came to the site of Orion's Arm when I searched for star lifting.
