| What was the first thing, you went to do or watch in space engine, when you first downloaded it and started it up? I went to Saturn for a nice look.

| I struggled with figuring out the interface while my (at the time hopelessly inadequate) video card struggled to render the startup planets (and failed). Eventually I managed to get to Earth, and after that I explored the Solar System.
I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

| Sure you can. One word is enoough even:
Coded.
As for me, I don't remember anymore. I think the first thing I did was to try to figure out the GUI... or perhaps using keyboard commands I used with Celestia. Some worked as intended, some didn't.
They let me use this!

| I zoomed into Spain to see if the detail was high enough to see my city then I went to an asteroir orbiting a planet in a cold star system in the abyss of a galaxy far enough from home to be relaxed, away from work and other things.

| I originally downloaded it on a computer without graphics acceleration, so I just was confused. But I did learn the controls, so when I got a graphics accelerator for my good computer, I just flew around and looked at things.

| First thing I did in Space Engine was gawk at how amazing it is. I can't remember where I actually explored anymore though.

| Clicked on a brighter star, Rigel, and went to take a look. Is the starting location always the same for all players or is it random? I did not understand where I was in the beginning, but it was a procedurally generated star according to the log.

| I flew out in the solar system, then flew as far and fast as I could away from earth and watched as stars, then galaxies flew past me. I was alone in timeless, endless void, and I was scared because it is real.

| I actually went to Tau Ceti 5 and looked for Shodan.
Then ... I hopped over to the Andromeda Galaxy and had a blast looking at all the planets.
Eventually, I got bored and am currently searching for suitable planets within about 30 to 100 psc of Earth for the life-forms in the fiction I'm writing.
The Oceanic life form is more than good. I've got to find places for about 5 other terrestrial type life forms.

| I went to the Moon and wandered about on the surface. Deep down, I was hoping for an Apollo XI Easter Egg. Just thought I'd mention it. For future reference.
