| I've always had quite the soft spot for Earth. Both from the surface and from space it is an amazingly beautiful planet. Often my favorite part of planetary missions is when they conduct Earth flybys, and getting that rare perspective of seeing our planet in the same manner that we have become used to seeing all the others. It really helps to provide a sense of calibration and perspective. Each world has its own element of beauty, but only on Earth do you find such a wide variety of colors and forms. White clouds, blue oceans, green life, tawny deserts. Most other worlds are quite a sight to behold, but they are usually monochromatic. Only Earth has such a vibrant and dynamic mix of colors and such a varied surface. I challenge humanity to find a more beautiful world anywhere in the cosmos. One might exist, but it would certainly be very hard to find.
We all need to do whatever we can to share that beauty with everyone, and do whatever we can to keep it beautiful for many generations to come.

| I think terras are the most beautiful type of planets. Jupiter's infinite cloud ocean is amazing, but it has no static details, it changes every time. Human mind needs some stable things. Solid planets have that - rocky or icy surface. But only terra combines both static features and dynamically changed clouds (maybe worlds like Titan have too).

| I've been orbiting Mercury with the Shuttle at low height, and making some nice screenshots:
Finally, a shot of Venus and Earth from Mercury, both looking absurdly bright at magnitudes -6 and -4.6, with the Moon well visible too:
Of course, the coolest thing to see on Mercury; the double Sunrise/Sunset that occurs on certain spots, doesn't let itself be captured well in screenshots.

| For me I love Saturn but Jupiter is another big favorite of mine. I can never decide between the beauty of Saturn's rings and Jupiter's massive size and storms.

| Quote (Spyro) Why is there no Pluto option? Presumably because the OP meant which is the best out of the major planets, of which Pluto is not one.

| I think there's no Pluto option because there's no high-resolution image of Pluto yet to know if it's beautiful or not, I don't know game-wise.
