In this thread, share your favorite place that you've discovered!

Mine is an earth-like planet (except it has rings) located in the LMC with another earth like planet as its moon. If you click on the image, you can view a small gallery of pictures I've taken of the planet and it's moon.

Good idea on sharing locations from places file taken from Thurs! Copy and paste this into your config\places.cfg file and it will appear in your list of places when you open SpaceEngine. To share your own, open up the same file and any places you have added should be at the bottom of the list.

The Terras with rings always remind me of that mind-blowing Infinity demo video. If only you could go into the rings.

Yeh I found one too, and what's more, it had a comfort terra with life
moon about 93,000 km away. One warm, the other cool.

Be very strange living on a world like that with rings, when you
are under the shadow of the wings. Be even more interesting
to wonder what people on those worlds in pre-civilisation stage
would make of it, and what mythologies they'd come up with.
First that comes to mind is their gods path in the heavens.

Astronomical mythology is always interesting.

Here's the two comfort terra with life planet/rings + moon

Log entry:- add to bottom of ur journal.cfg

Entry "Two Earth like worlds in LMC"

Woah that's awesome Neon, talk about being in the thick of it... the only problem is because there are so many stars I get those textures issues I had when on +3 detail (even though I'm on -3 now) sometimes when I'm cruising around the surface of those planets.

Really beautiful though!

Strange, I thought that I had reduced the density of stars in small galaxies like the Magellanic Clouds. Turning on the Auto Exposure might help to reduce the number of stars drawn and generated.

I think turning down the density of stars in centre of galaxies is
a damn smart move. My computer is a beast n my star lod is
set to 0, but the center of galaxies is no go for me.

I don't like the lod msg coming up. It breaks my immersian. So
I tend to think we should rename that text (who needs to know it)
to a Computer msg"

"You are currently experiencing a Spacial Annomally" wink

Much better way to handle it. We still know it's loading lod, but
it fits better into where we are. After all, who cares what file
it's loading.

Gabriel, I love that image, really nice shot of ringed terran world.
Is that moon also terran water world? Looks like it.

Yeh but that takes away all the info too. lol I like the
idea of a "Spacial Anomaly" specially since we know
it's just lod, but hey will fool some ppl for awhile smile
