| Well... I just found a huge Almost-Ice-Giant sized Selena with 8 earth masses. Its a moon of another Ice giant just 9000km bigger than the selena moon.
It also has an ESI of 0.81...

| Dunno how rare this is but I found three differently coloured stars in very close proximity. I thought it looked neat

| Quote Unnamed ( ) It also has an ESI of 0.81...
ESI doesn't actually check the planet type (since it's very difficult to discover and to classify in real life) or the atmosphere. It only checks mass, density, and temperature. And since all three are reasonably close to Earth's, it gets a high ESI.
I occasionally stream at http://www.twitch.tv/magistermystax. Sometimes SE, sometimes other games.

| Something I found only within a few minutes after downloading SE. Dwarf planet and flattened dwarf moon, the moon moves pretty fast

| I found something so weird, I don't even know what it exactly is.It is a planet listed as a temperate desert with life, but the surface looks like it was bombarded by toxic waste or something. And the ground is full of violet ore! (The planet code is RS 8409-1789-9-73057707-11 4)

| Judging by the colour of the rock and the moon, the parent star is a red or orange dwarf. These emit most of their light in the infra-red, and it is expected that any plant life able to photosynthesise with such light would most probably be black.
I don't know what it's photosynthesising with, considering there seems to be a complete lack of atmosphere on the surface. Possibly non-volatile organics?

| I was searching for this today and I was wondering, has anyone found a titan/selena/terra with an ice giant orbiting it? It should be possible to find, because a titan can have a larger mass than some ice giants. Would be interesting.

| Quote Sidney600 ( ) It should be possible to find, because a titan can have a larger mass than some ice giants. The mass difference would never be great enough for the ice giant to be considered a moon. They would always be a binary pair. I have found terra-ice giant binaries before, but never with the terra as the primary.

Yeah, I'd reckon. Though I didn't say that it had to be a "moon" moon. Still searching for that binary pair tho!

| I have found an oceania capable of having a small ice giant as its moon, its on the 1st post of page 16 i think. I once found an ice giant with 99k km of diameter.

| Quote Unnamed ( ) 99k km of diameter Isn't that pretty big though?
33000 km is the smallest ice giant I've found with a mass of 8.3x earth, and most massive titan that I've found had a mass of 12.4x earth something. I wonder what the chances are for those to be in a binary. I hope this gets found one day, it would be a hilarious combo.

| I said that since this talk is kind of related to ice giants right now Edit: just checked its 91k Still pretty big tho
This must be a quite puffy planet, probably less dense than saturn.
I don't think that ice giant moons around rocky planets are generated on SE.Added (05.04.2014, 03:33) --------------------------------------------- I just found a case of a "moon bigger than planet", but with a (much) larger scale.

| That is caused by errors in the star catalog, see the posted list of known issues.
