| My son found this totally unlikely planet: HIP 12450 3.
It has three moons in an extremely low orbit, two of which periodically crash. But they give some nice scenery.

| Wow, I've seen some extremely close moons with tiny planets, but that really takes the cake.

| I found a galaxy with a boat load of nebula near the center.
It's NGC 3953.

Yes. It's pretty interesting to wait for the moons to line up, then fly between them and as you get through the planet rise and fill up the entire view.
One limitation of SE becomes apparent if you sit on the surface of one moon and wait for the other to touch. The other moon (the one you're not locked to) is shaking. Likely a precision issue in the orbit calculations. (But let's say it's seismic activity due to the tidal stress )

Perhaps you need to slow time down to 0.001x or something. I think I had it to the minimum.

| A blue main sequence star inside a red giant
Took pictures from different angles
I accidentally below the surface, and could clearly see the second star.

I figure conditions like that in real life would have triggered a supernova eons ago, when the Red Giant first engulfed the blue star...

I dont know if these are rare, but since this is the first planet i have seen with a really thick atmosphere, i decided to post it here.

| This is pretty normal actually. If I recall right, stellar bifurcation on catalog systems can cause it. Systems like this also exist in real life.

| Cool idea! I won't use the usual copypaste 'everything known in astronomy WILL exist in Space Engine' response because these things are astrophysically really interesting and I'd never heard of them before. I guess you saw this announcement last month?
