| Seriously, this terra wouldn't be in a stable orbit for very long. Yes I know SE doesn't do gravitational simulation, but this one just screams out as no way that this could be stable for billions of years. Of course though, it's possible that they could be in resonance, but I don't know how to calculate that.
The neutron star might actually be sucking in it's companions gas at that distance.
Look how close this moon is to it's parent planet, 75k km I believe it was.

| Solaris, that flat texture looks very nice! I should try to upgrade procedural generator to obtain such a look. Can you send me these textures?

| Quote (DoctorOfSpace) I redid the textures used during procedural generation. Do you mean pack_desert and pack_terra?

Yep those are what I edited.
I replaced each image in the files with a very similar image twice the size/quality and made a new pack_desert/terra that is 4096x4096.
They look pretty good but they aren't finished completely yet.

They do have a slight effect from space here is a before and after. The texture I used is a bit darker but That can fixed.

| Quote (DoctorOfSpace) I replaced each image in the files with a very similar image twice the size/quality and made a new pack_desert/terra that is 4096x4096. You should also update tile average colors tables:
SpaceEngine\data\models\engine\pack_desert.cfg SpaceEngine\data\models\engine\pack_terra.cfg
In these files change Rebuild false to Rebuild true, and then run SE. After this SE will recalculate the tables and save them, then you may change Rebuild back to false.
Also, did you realize that two 4k*4k textures consumes 170 Mb of video memory (including mipmaps)?

Thanks for the info.
Same texture as the dark color with the rebuild set to true.

Yes I did and it is even worse with the Star Trek ships because most of those ships use massive textures, will have to do some resizing before release.
The textures do look a bit better from ground, the only issue is the tiling is even more apparent

Well, remember it's a space simulator :P
The texture looks nice, btw.
