I found this earth like planet procedurally 237 ly away. I enjoyed the planet so much, i decided to give it it's own name and labeled map

I looked at the planet, it's actually an atoll, it looked like an island due to distortion.

I'm considering making this space engine's mascot planet. it's landmasses and geographical features are named after active users, the system it's located in is fascinating enough where it could take earth years to get to know the system inside-out, and it's earthlike and local to earth.

If you agree, make sure to quote this comment to share your support biggrin

Yeah, welcome to the world of spherical projection. Also, you might want to switch the words "island" and "atoll".

Nope, the major island off the coast of Nal (pronounced: Nyaouw, due to the tilde, ring, and slash in the name)
