This may be the most powerful piece of music I've heard in years. I was filming something in Space Engine when it came on my music player, and I was swept away by the majesty of it. I had to turn it into a movie.

I can't wait for version 0.95, and an end to framerate pops. (I know I can use SE's frame-accurate capture, but I still prefer Fraps.)

New lens flare is already by SpaceEngineer, so version 0.95 will be releaser in next week.

Hmm. The new lens flare is pretty, but I'd make those rays smaller, more like this:


But my preference is for the kind of lens flare we saw in the opening of Contact, with a soft glow and almost no rays, just some secondary discs:



Still, I can't wait for v0.95!

I must say, those images from v0.95 make me drool. I see so many improvements to the rendering! Asteroids have that lumpy, dusty shape we see in real images, and the planetary surfaces are much more nuanced. I can't wait!

Diffraction spikes texture size depends on the sun brightness, this is different for every planet.
