| All the dust and bloom and what have you in 0.9.7 is pretty, I guess, but I have to wonder how realistic it is.
The comets look great. Just plain gorgeous. But they're supposed to look like that. Should empty space, really?
Anyway, be right back: off to find a system with nine.

| I actually spotted a system with 5 planets and 5 with life on it, initially I thought all 5 had life on them (as improbable as that is), turns out 4 of them were moons.
I suppouse I'll be on the lookout for systems with lots of life bearing worlds.

If you want it to look more realistic, just turn the magnitude limit down, the galactic plane, nebulae and small asteroids will fade or disappear and it will look more realistic.

| I think that the galaxies/nebulae look more realistic and more like the previous version when the galaxy exposure is set to 3 rather than 4.

The exposures in my pictures above are impossible as a single exposure and in that sense unrealistic. You can't have a sun, distant stars, the dark side of a planet, comets, aurorae all clearly visible and saturated in the same shot. But it looks very nice. When I first tried Space Engine what really made me think "wow" was the auto exposure and real brightness options. They make less spectacular imagery, but this told me that this guy was serious about realism. Scale in the universe isn't only about size, but also about brightness. Finally someone who dares to show it.
Quote (Tallest_Skil) Anyway, be right back: off to find a system with nine Good luck. Beat this:
Systems with 7 seem to be a 1 in 200,000 thing. Systems with 6 are more like 1 in 40,000. Here are a few more with 6:

| I think midtskogen should be disqualified as cheater However, any can use his tool
I have fixed a bug with life generated only in binary systems, so after next patch this challenge should be restarted

| I have found a unique discovery, a non-procedural star system with 4 bodies with life. Although I've seen this more often in procedural stars, this isn't one! The star is BET Com ((β Coma Berenices). 2 of them are planets, and 2 are moons. The planets/moons include a Tidally locked Warm Oceania with life, a Cool oceania with life and 2 Terras with life. Here are a few pictures: β Com B4 β Com B5 β Com B6.1 β Com B6.2
I will be inactive on this forum for the time being. Might come back eventually
