Alright I was just Browsing through the galaxy and checking out things like supergiants, black holes and stuff, and then noticed a spot in the background which looked a bit different from the others.

Turns out it was a:
QUINTUPLE SYSTEM WITH LIFE!?

Look at the Planet RS 8404-694-8-12742123-28 A7 EXACTLY WRITTEN LIKE THAT with F3 and then zoom out a bit.
There are 4 barycenters I think. 5 Suns.And I think 17-18 planets.

ISNT THAT HUGE!?!

ADD IT TO THE LOCATIONS(and I would be gratious if you would mention me ;))

I don't think we can go exactly there, its a procedural Star.

That's the cool thing about procedural generation, you're thinking of random generation, procedural generation is the same for everyone.

You can visit this place, just type it in the object finder: RS 8404-694-8-12742123-28 and even if it doesn't show up press GOTO and you will get there.

Anways, very cool place Klixx0r! The orbits look pretty funny.

Snapped this picture:

Thanks for taking the time and checking it out.
It should really be mentioned in the game I think.Put it in the locations or as a picture in the loading screen.

It would be very nice.

I think systems with 5-8 stars are common near black holes on galaxy centers. Check'em out

Cool! The probability of finding a quintuple star is some parts per million smile

No, the probability of "multiplicating" of a star is not dependent on its position in the galaxy. The central black hole system is a special case - I try to simulate the stars motion near a black hole, simply by creating a special "solar system" for it. By the way, I have bad news for you guys: in the next release these quintuple star will disappear, because I've made some changes in the galaxy generation algorithms (fixed bugs with "cubic galaxies" etc).

But why...Why would you do that sad
Can't you save it or something?I'm not demanding it or something i would just really apppreciate it.
I mean,look at these snaps.

Sometimes things like this have to happen when he's adding new features, the engine has already been reset a couple of times and many people have lost special things they found.

And I'm pretty sure he means there will still be quintuple systems, just the one you found will be gone most likely, you can still find other quintuple systems if you're lucky.

When I finish the main tweaks in generator, I will introduce procedural galaxy generator and make network database. I'll make a system of versions to prevent "destroying" of planets/stars/galaxies recently found by players.

When a player discovers a new system, the server saves its ID and the current procedural generator version number. Further releases may change something in the generator, but the old generators will still be saved in the program code too. Then when other players enter the system previously discovered by the first player, the server will send this information to the client with the generator's version number for that discovered system. So that system will be generated in exactly the same way as when it was first discovered.

I know that there will be quintuple systems, problem is I won't find anyone anymore
Look at the chance.

Goddamit all for nothing x)

You might have to go "out of galaxy" to find a quin+ system with a habitable world in a future version, but it should be possible. Try heading out of the galactic plane a bit and messing around with star magnitude. Blue stars should pop out, but large multiples or behemoth reds also light up nice at a distance.
