| I like to set the galaxies model lightning at 2.000 as opposed to 4.000 which is little too bright for my liking, but I have to keep setting it to 2.000 every time i re-load?
It's not a big issue only takes a few clicks but where in the configs or files (if anywhere) is this default setting?
In the main-def-eng file there is a setting:
GlowMagnLimit 4 // galaxies and nebulae sprites limiting magnitude
But changing this to 2 did not work.

do not change the 'main-def.cfg'!
Use for changes by hand the file 'main-user.cfg'.
Then it works.
Don't forget to look here.
